Alfred Leopold Isidor Kubin was born in Bohemia in the town of Litoměřice, which was then part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
Father: Friedrich Franz Kubin, geometer (1848-1907).
Mother: Johanna (Jenny) Kletzl, pianist (1847-1887)
